1. Heat cycle with vinegar
Use two cups of white vinegar instead of detergent to add to the detergent box (don't worry about damaging the machine and clothes), and let the empty washing machine perform a regular heating wash. The combination of hot water and vinegar can remove and prevent the growth of bacteria. Vinegar can also be used as a deodorant to remove musty odors.
2. Scrub the inner and outer walls of the washing machine
Pour 1/4 cup of vinegar and 1 quart of warm water into a bucket or a nearby sink and mix, and then use this mixture to clean the inner and outer walls of the washing machine with a sponge and a special toothbrush.
3. The second thermal cycle
After scrubbing, let the empty washing machine perform a regular heating wash, this time without detergent and vinegar. If you want to clean the washing machine more thoroughly, you can add 1/2 cup of baking soda to the bucket to help remove the unfinished scale in the first step. After a round of the washing machine is completed, wipe the inside of the drum with a microfiber cloth to remove all dirt residues.
Now you have learned an easy way to clean washing machine.
First remove the washing box of the washing machine (if you don't know how to remove it, you can check the instruction manual of the washing machine), soak the washing box in hot soapy water. After soaking for a few minutes, use an old toothbrush to scrub off any areas where the detergent has accumulated or mold. After thoroughly cleaning the washing box, dry it with a tea towel. Before putting it back, pay attention to clean up the place where the washing box is placed-there may also be some hidden mold there.
